What ClassSeats helps you do

The daily stuff that eats time—done faster, with fewer headaches.

Seating charts

Create layouts, move students instantly, and iterate without starting over.

Attendance

Quick, repeatable attendance workflows that don’t derail your first five minutes.

Groupings

Make groups with constraints and common sense—because random isn’t always fair.

History & reports

Keep track of changes and export what you need when admin asks… again.

Works offline

Use it with no internet. Your data stays available when Wi‑Fi decides to quit.

Optional Drive sync

Sync files across devices using your own Google Drive—no ClassSeats server required.

How Google Drive sync works

  1. You choose Drive sync. ClassSeats works with local storage by default. Drive is optional.
  2. You sign in to Google. ClassSeats requests the limited drive.file permission.
  3. You save ClassSeats files to Drive. Only files created by ClassSeats (or you explicitly open with ClassSeats) are accessible.
  4. You can disconnect anytime. Disconnecting stops Drive access; the app continues using local storage.

Why this matters

ClassSeats is designed to keep classroom data under the teacher’s control. Sync is handled via the teacher’s own Google Drive.

  • No ClassSeats backend servers
  • No selling or sharing user data
  • Limited Drive scope (drive.file)

Privacy that makes sense for schools

ClassSeats stores your data locally on your device and/or in your own Google Drive (if enabled). We don’t run servers that collect your classroom data.

Quick facts

  • No ClassSeats servers storing classroom data
  • Local-first; Drive sync is optional
  • Drive access is limited to ClassSeats files via drive.file
